Ashtanga Intersections
Emergent Healing Spaces
Fusing the timeless wisdom of Ashtanga Yoga with a commitment to trauma-informed care, embodied values, and collective liberation. This innovative approach honors the traditions of yoga while embracing the diverse identities and lived experiences of our community. We are proud to create a space where Black + Brown, Queer + Trans, and marginalized voices are celebrated, and where healing is held in deep empathy, collective, ancestral remembrance and rooted in the land.
I’m committed to fostering an environment where…
Every body, identity, and voice is celebrated.
Social justice and collective liberation are at the heart of the practice.
Healing is held in deep empathy, collective, ancestral remembrance and rooted in the land.
You are invited to join in creating a radically inclusive, transformative, and healing yoga community that honours both the timeless wisdom of Ashtanga and the diverse experiences of our global community.

The Vision: A Radical Place of Liberation
Activism in Motion
Yoga can be a powerful tool for social change. Every stretch, every breath is an act of resistance against oppressive systems, and a step toward collective healing and liberation.
Radical Self-Love
Embracing all of who we are—our bodies, our identities, our histories—is a revolutionary act. At Ashtanga Intersections, we practice radical self-love by celebrating all aspects of ourselves, free from shame and fear.
Creating the Future
My vision is clear: we are not just dreaming of a better world; we are building it. Ashtanga Intersections is a place to co-create a future where justice, empathy, and collective healing thrive.
Ashtanga Yoga for Beginners
Join me for a comprehensive introduction into Ashtanga Yoga. This course has been designed for beginners of yoga. It has been created to foster inclusion and accessibility. No previous experience is required; just an open mind and curious spirit.
What is Ashtanga Yoga?
Ashtanga Yoga is a practice and philosophy that aims to develop the physical, psychological and spiritual health of humanity. Yoga is one of the six main philosophical schools in India. Yogic practices and philosophy have been kept alive from one generation to the next, for thousands of years, through what is known as the teacher-student relationship, or parampara (lineage). Ashtanga Yoga isn’t bound to any one religion. Rather, this yoga is grounded in a deep tradition of respect for the practical experience and the teachings which illuminate with the knowledge of your innermost self.
Ashtanga Yoga is often defined as an intense, athletic, and dynamic form of yoga. In many ways this is true, though Ashtanga does much more than strengthen and stretch the body. By practicing with sensitive awareness of the breath, the drsti (gazing point), and the bandhas (energy locks), one can develop a sense of consciousness in both the body and mind. For many practitioners, Ashtanga Yoga can be considered to be a path that leads us to the spirit that resides in all of us, and is in fact, our essential nature.
